What You Can Do

1 Attend the Board of Adjustment hearings on October 21 and 28 in Gaither Hall.

  • The Montreat Board of Adjustment will consider the MRA's permit proposal at a public hearing scheduled for Thursday, October 21, 4:00-9:00 pm in Gaither Hall (Graham Chapel), continued if needed on October 28. Masks are required.

  • Because it is a quasi-judicial hearing similar to a court of law, detailed evidence will be considered. We understand that this is expected to carry on beyond one day. After all evidence is presented, the Board of Adjustment members will deliberate and make their decision in public.

  • In person-attendance is important to show the community's concern. If you are not able to attend in person, you can watch the hearing on the Town of Montreat's Zoom streaming.

Include your name, mailing address, daytime telephone number and email address, and email to letters@citizen-times.com. Op-eds are submitted the same way except they should be around 750 words and also include a one-sentence bio and head shot. Submissions might be edited for space and clarity. Phone: 828-232-5912
